(Science, 267:87-90, 1995), para estudiar el papel de la adaptaci\u00f3n en las poblaciones de bacterias en el laboratorio. En nuestro experimento, el par\u00e1metro maltusiano de fitness se determin\u00f3 en casa aislado, midiendo la multiplicaci\u00f3n asexual, en 10 r\u00e9plicas diferentes, de taquizo\u00edtos de cada uno de los aislados antes y despu\u00e9s de realizar 38 pases en la l\u00ednea celular marc-145. Los resultados de la prueba de evoluci\u00f3n mostraron un incremento significativo de la media (m250 mayor m0) para los tres aislados de n.Caninum (p menor 0,001). Los resultados de la prueba de diversidad gen\u00e9tica revelaron diferencias significativas del fitness entre los tres cultivos clonales de n.Caninum en t=0 y t=250. en contraste con las cl\u00e1sicas predicciones del trinquete de muller, los valores del fitness obtenidos para los tres aislados mostraron r\u00e1pidos cambios adaptativos. Todo ello, apoya la idea de que la propagaci\u00f3n asexual de n.Caninum de modo vertical por la v\u00eda trasnplacentaria en la naturaleza, u otras alternativas de transmisi\u00f3n horizonal. Todas las evidencias de nuestro estudio confirman que la estructura de poblaci\u00f3n clonal debe ser mantenida como posible base de las poblaciones de neospora.  en el segundo experimento, los objetivos fueron comparar la patogenicidad, durante las fases aguda y cr\u00f3nica de la neosporosis, de tres aislados de n.Caninum en un modelo de rat\u00f3n, antes (t=0) y despu\u00e9s (t=250) del paso del par\u00e1sito por el cultivo celular durante aproximadamente 250 generaciones. para ello, 15 ratones hembra balb\/c fueron inoculados con 5&#215;10 6 taquizo\u00edtos de cada aislado y pase
