En la primera, se realiz\u00f3 una caracterizaci\u00f3n del efluente procedente de la industria cervecera y se analiz\u00f3 la capacidad de crecimiento y degradaci\u00f3n de c. gallica sobre el mismo, con el objetivo final de aplicar este hongo in vitro en el tratamiento de este tipo de efluentes, o de aquellos que muestren caracter\u00edsticas similares. En la segunda parte, se optimizaron las condiciones de cultivo para la degradaci\u00f3n del efluente y se estudiaron los mecanismos involucrados en el proceso degradativo con especial \u00e9nfasis en la maquinaria enzim\u00e1tica responsable del mismo, as\u00ed como el aspecto molecular de la producci\u00f3n de lacasa por este basidiomiceto. De esta forma se estudi\u00f3 la expresi\u00f3n g\u00e9nica del gen de lacasa en condiciones de alta decoloraci\u00f3n y la capacidad de esta enzima de decolorar el efluente in vitro, utilizando caldos enzim\u00e1ticos con alta actividad lacasa. La tercera etapa del trabajo consisti\u00f3 en la puesta a punto de un sistema de expresi\u00f3n heter\u00f3logo del gen de lacasa de c. Gallica en la levadura saccharomyces cerevisiae como una herramienta necesaria para expresar el gen de inter\u00e9s en forma heter\u00f3loga, obteniendo prote\u00ednas activas con gran potencial en
