De modo adicional, se ha querido comprobar el efecto de la limitaci\u00f3n de nutrientes en un arroyo de cabecera forestado y limitado por la luz. Este experimento se ha llevado a cabo a trav\u00e9s de la fertilizaci\u00f3n del ecosistema durante 44 d\u00edas. Finalmente, se ha estudiado a fondo el efecto de la hidrolog\u00eda en el ecosistema, y concretamente el efecto de los extremos hidrol\u00f3gicos y de la historia hidrol\u00f3gica en el estado del ecosistema. La respuesta del ecosistema se ha valorado en terminos de funci\u00f3n y de estructura para tener una visi\u00f3n completa. Las principales conclusiones han estado:  1,- la variabilidad en los patrones meteorol\u00f3gicos influencia la din\u00e1mica de la materia org\u00e1nica en fuirosos a trav\u00e9s de dos mecanismos: las condiciones meteorol\u00f3gicas del verano y los pulsos debidos a las riadas. As\u00ed, las lluvias de verano afectan la temporalidad de la caida de hojas y la duraci\u00f3n del periodo en que el lecho est\u00e1 seco, dando lugar a grandes acumulaciones de materia org\u00e1nica en a\u00f1os secos. Estas acumulaciones dan lugar a valores muy elevados de respiraci\u00f3n (30g o2 m-2 d-1) cuando la recuperaci\u00f3n del caudal. Estas tasas de respiraci\u00f3n son muy elevadas en relaci\u00f3n a otros sistemas fluviales an\u00e1logos.  2,- los periodos entre riada y riada, delimitados por pulsos asociados a riadas, determinan un ciclo de acumulaci\u00f3n continua y retirada s\u00fabita del material org\u00e1nico almacenado. Durante los periodos entre riada y riada, hay un continuo incremento en la eficiencia de procesado de la materia org\u00e1nica.  3,- el bosque d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
