Metodos: los experimentos se realizaron en perros anestesiados a los que se les administro por via intravenosa nimesulida o meclofenamato, y en la arteria renal norepinerina, l-name y\/o candesartan. Se recogieron muestras de sangre  y orina en todos los periodos experimentales para el calculo de los parametros renales hemodin\u00e1micos y tubulares y se registraron continuamente la presi\u00f3n arterial media y el flujo sangu\u00edneo renal.  resultados: la administraci\u00f3n de un inhibidor selectivo de la cox-2 y la administraci\u00f3n de un inhibidor no selectivo de las dos isoformas de la cox potenciaron el descenso provocado por la norepinefrina (ne) sobre la tasa de filtraci\u00f3n glomerular, no existiendo diferencias significativas entre ellas. El pretratamiento de los animales con el inhibidor de la sintesis de \u00f3xido n\u00edtrico (l-name) potenci\u00f3 los efectos hemodinamicos y tubulares de la ne, m\u00e1s que la inhibici\u00f3n de la cox-2. El pretratamiento previo con l-name y nimesulida dio lugar a variaciones de flujo sangu\u00edneo renal, tasa de filtraci\u00f3n glomerular y resistencia vascular renal, que fueron m\u00e1s importantes que las inducidas por la ne en los grupos pretratados con cualquiera de las dos drogas por separado. Cuando se inhibe las acciones de la ang ii con un antagonista de los receptores at1, el candesartan, los efectos renales producidos por la ne cuandom la s\u00edntesis de no y la actividad de cox-2 est\u00e1n disminuidas fueron mucho menores. Conclusiones: los resultados obtenidos demuestran que 1) las prostaglandinas derivadas de la ciclooxigenasa-2 (cox-2) aten\u00faan el efecto vasoconstrictor renal producido
