Supone tambien el analisis de los elementos nacionalistas a traves de diversos generos:  los cancioneros, las sobras corales, la musica instrumental y la zarzuela. Un capitulo importante es el de la influencia de la musica popular asturiana en la musica culta fuera de la region.  la segunda parte del trabajo profundiza en tres de los mejores compositores del nacionalismo asturiano victor saenz, anselmo gonzalez del valle y baldomero fernandez.  significa, por tanto, un amplio estudio biografico sobre los mismos, ademas de la elaboracion de un catalogo de obras lo mas completo posible y un analisis artistico de esta musica.  el objetivo primordial de la investigacion es aportar las primeras bases para el conocimiento de los inicios y el desarrollo del
