Sin embargo, sus acciones a nivel hipofisario estan poco estudiadas. Por ello, se han estudiado los efectos in vitro de dicho factor (egf) sobre dos estirpes celulares adenohipofisarias, las celulas gonadotropas y las celulas lactotropas, para determinar los efectos de los distintos tratamientos sobre la morfolog\u00eda celular y los indices de marcaje, asi como la influencia de las hormonas perifericas estradiol y testosterona. Se ha comprobado que el egf aumenta la actividad proliferativa del total de celulas del cultivo y estimula la proliferacion de las celulas lacto y gonadotropas. Los efectos del estradiol y la testosterona sobre estas celulas, tanto en lo referente a morfolog\u00eda como a proliferacion celular, son concordantes con los hallazgos de otros autores. Al combinar los tratamientos egf + estradiol se provoca una mayor inhibicion sobre las celulas gonadotropas que con el esteroide aislado; sin embargo, sobre las celulas lactotropas el efecto fue similar al tratamiento con estradiol. La combinacion de egf + testosterona mostro resultados similares al tratamiento con testosterona aislado para ambos tipos celulares.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
