Carmen <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La zona de telde (gran canaria), islas canarias), se caracteriza desde el punto de vista hidrogeologico por su intensa explotacion, la compleja geometria de su sistema acuifero y la existencia de un progresivo descenso de niveles piezometricos que se acompa\u00f1an de la salinizacion del agua explotada. En la presente tesis se lleva a cabo un estudio geologico detallado de los materiales explotados permitiendo la reconstruccion en profundidad del sistema acuifero. El funcionamiento hidraulico del sistema se determina a partir de datos de ensayo de bombeo, mientras que la piezometria y la evolucion temporal de niveles freaticos permiten la definicion de la zona como un area de descarga de aguas subterraneas al mar, en la que la recarga procede fundamentalmente de la cumbre de la isla.  a partir de datos hidrogeoquimicos e isotopicos se han identificado tres mecanismos de salinizacion del agua subterranea que afectan de forma desigual a diferentes areas de la zona de estudio.
