En este trabajo se obtiene una f\u00f3rmula general para los coeficientes de estas series,en t\u00e9rminos de la latitud isom\u00e9trica.Se deducen tambi\u00e9n f\u00f3rmulas alternativas a los desarrollos en serie de potencias de la longitud , que permiten expresar las ecuaciones de la proyecci\u00f3n como una perturbaci\u00f3n del caso esf\u00e9rico, para el cual estas se escriben mediante funciones bien conocidas.  se ha realizado un estudio cuantitativo de la distorsi\u00f3n de esta proyecci\u00f3n sobre la componente peninsular espa\u00f1ola, bas\u00e1ndose en las definiciones de distorsi\u00f3n de milnor y de chebyshev.Siguiendo estos criterios se ha comparado la proyecci\u00f3n transversa de mercator con la proyecci\u00f3n lambert y con la mejor proyecci\u00f3n conforme seg\u00fan chebyshev de la espa\u00f1a peninsular, obteni\u00e9ndose para ello la m\u00ednima distorsi\u00f3n conforme posible asociada a esta regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
