planchas , grabadas al aguafuerte y firmadas con las letrasa \u00abloy\u00bb se inicia la investigaci\u00f3n para esclarecer su autor\u00eda y en lo posible , revelar la relaci\u00f3n de su autor conel grabado.El grabador, el cubano ram\u00f3n loy, realiz\u00f3o dichos grabados en espa\u00f1a alrededor de 1915 en el entorno de las clases de carlos veger y esteve rotey:fue \u00e9sta una \u00e9poca de expansi\u00f3n del aguafuerte en nuestro pa\u00eds, que se prolong\u00f3 hasta el inicio de la guerra civil.Espa\u00f1a en las dos primeras d\u00e9cadas del siglo xx, sirvi\u00f3 como modelo acad\u00e9mico tradicional para muchos estudiantes de bellas artes cubanos, quienes, a su regreso a cuba, cultivar\u00e1n y difundir\u00e1n desde la escuela de bellas artes de la habana los conocimientos adquiridos.Ram\u00f3n loy , alumno destacado de grabado en al escuela de bellas artes de Madrid, hizo amistad con su profesor esteve botey.Al volver a cuba, tras un largo periplo europeo.Se convertir\u00e1 en uno de los pioneros de la joven calcograf\u00eda cubana t\u00e9cnica que se practicar\u00e1 asiduamente en cuba desde la creaci\u00f3n en 1928, de la c\u00e1tedra de grabado de la escuela de bellas artes de la habana.La influencia espa\u00f1ola estar\u00e1 muy presente en el grabado cubano hasta los a\u00f1os cincuenta , \u00e9poca en la que fue desplazada por la xilograf\u00eda , que con su lenguaje expresivo se convirtio enel motor del grabado cubano contempor\u00e1neo.Nuestro \u00faltimo cap\u00edtulo est\u00e1 dedicado \u00edntegramente a la biografia y obra de ram\u00f3n loy, personalidad actualmente desconocida por diversas circunstancias.Sus actividades, todas ellas interrelacionadas, giran en torno a la pintura, el grabado , la docencia , la
