Por medio de una exposicion detallada de todas las representaciones de la tragedia griega antigua que tuvieron lugar sobre todo en grecia, desde la ilustracion griega hasta 1930, se intenta ver la renovacion que produjo el experimento sikeliano (fiestas delficas) con la puesta en escena del teatro antiguo de delfos de dos tragedias de esquilo, prometeo encadenado (1927, 1930) y las suplicantes
