Las fluoroquinolonas en general se consideran antimicrobianos bactericidas concentraci\u00f3n dependientes. La fleroxacina es el \u00e1cido 6,8 difluoro-l(2-fluoroetil)-1,4 dihidro-quinoleincarbox\u00edlico. la acci\u00f3n antibacteriana de la fl,eroxacina, es el resultado de cuatro etapas consecutivas a nivel bacteriano:  a) paso de la mol\u00e9cula a trav\u00e9s de la pared celular bacteriana hasta alcanzar el citoplasma;  b) inhibici\u00f3n de la enzima adn girasa; c) inhibici\u00f3n de la s\u00edntesis de adn y  d) inducci\u00f3n de respuesta sos a nivel de la c\u00e9lula bacteriana.  la fleroxacina podr\u00eda ser un agente eficaz para el tratamiento de infecciones tipo colibacilosis y salmonelosis de las aves. La fleroxacina tras administraci\u00f3n oral sufre un amplio metabolismo, los metabolitos n-demetil fleroxacina y n-\u00f3xido fleroxacina aparecen r\u00e1pidamente en plasma.  el objetivo del trabajo ha sido doble:  1) el estudio farmacocin\u00e9tico de fleroxacina tras administraci\u00f3n de dosis \u00fanica intravenosa y oral de 4mglkg p.V. En pollos de engorde y 2\u00c2\u00b0) el estudio de distribuci\u00f3n y deplecci\u00f3n tisular de fleroxacina y sus principales metabolitos tras tratamiento oral de 4mglkg p.V. Durante 4 d\u00edas en pollos de engorde. dise\u00f1o experimental: se utilizaron 34 pollos de engorde ross de 2- 2,5 kg de peso corporal, divididos en 3 grupos para realizar:  a. Estudio farmacocin\u00e9tico tras dosis \u00fanica intravenosa de 4mglkg p.V. de fleroxacina  b. Estudio farmacocin\u00e9tico tras dosis \u00fanica oral de 4 mg\/kg. P.V. De fleroxacina.  c.
