relevancia sin precedentes , ya que la penuria de la \u00e9poca y la represi\u00f3n socio-pol\u00edtica impuesta no hac\u00edan m\u00e1s que agudizar la tr\u00e1gica situaci\u00f3n en la que se ve\u00eda sumido el pueblo espa\u00f1ol.En estas circustancias los espect\u00e1culos f\u00edlmicos-sobre todo,el cine cl\u00e1sico de hollywood (1930-1955)-irrumpieron como una aut\u00e9ntica v\u00e1lvula de escape , que daba expresi\u00f3n y aliento a los sue\u00f1os de sus espectadores.Dicha coyuntura permite, por otra parte , reconstruir el horizonte de expectativas tanto del autor que crea la obra,como del p\u00fablico que la recibe.Mars\u00e9 recurre constantemente a los elementos f\u00edlmicos porque sabe que su receptor los identificar\u00e1 con facilidad, pues la mayor\u00eda de la gente acud\u00eda al cine \u00e1vida-como \u00e9l &#8211; de pel\u00edculas , especialmente de las americas.Mars\u00e9 supo percatarse a tiempo del horizonte de expectativas de sus contempor\u00e1neos- que coincid\u00eda con el suyo, solventando as\u00ed el problema al que tuvo que enfrentarse el sistema literario de la posguerra:c\u00f3mo llegar con \u00e9xito al
