El ifn-gamma puede ser una alternativa en el tratamiento del c\u00e1ncer, y por ello, que profundizar en los mecanismos por los que act\u00faa resulta de gran inter\u00e9s.     el ifn-gamma, tambi\u00e9n conocido como interfer\u00f3n inmune, se expresa en linfocitos t y c\u00e9lulas nk en respuesta a est\u00edmulos inflamatorios o se\u00f1ales de activaci\u00f3n del sistema inmune (farrar and schreiber 1993; boehm, klamp et al. 1997). entre las funciones m\u00e1s importantes, se destacan la actividad antiviral, actividad inmunomoduladora, efecto anti-proliferativo, inhibici\u00f3n del crecimiento celular y control de la apoptosis (stark, kerr et al. 1998). fundamentalmente, el ifn-gamma es importante en la supresi\u00f3n de infecciones y tumores (wadler and schwartz 1990; koshiji, adachi et al. 1997).  el trabajo recogido en esta tesis doctoral se basa en la caracterizaci\u00f3n del mecanismo de sensibilizaci\u00f3n del ifn-gamma a la ap\u00f3ptosis inducida por activadores de los receptores de muerte y drogas que da\u00f1an al adn, utilizando para ello varias l\u00edneas de leucemia mieloide aguda como modelo celular. En primer lugar, estudiamos si el ifn-g es capaz de sensibilizar a c\u00e9lulas de leucemia mieloide aguda a la apoptosis inducida por tnf-a, anticuerpos agon\u00edstas de cd95 y trail. en nuestros modelos de c\u00e9lulas de leucemia mieloide (u937 y otras l\u00edneas celulares) se observ\u00f3 una marcada sensibilizaci\u00f3n por ifn-gamma a la apoptosis inducida por receptores de muerte. Al analizar las alteraciones moleculares producidas por el ifn-g en dichas c\u00e9lulas se observ\u00f3 que el efecto sensibilizador del ifn-gamma a la apoptosis inducida por los ligandos de muerte en c\u00e9lulas u937, no se debe a cambios en los niveles de expresi\u00f3n de los receptores pro \u00f3 anti apopt\u00f3dicos, de la prote\u00edna adaptadora<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
