El experimento se ha llevado a cabo con el calor\u00edmetro taps en el acelerador agor del kvi (groningen, holanda) durante la campa\u00f1a de experimentos taps de 1997. El  experimento realizado consisti\u00f3  en un haz de arg\u00f3n sobre un blanco de oro a energ\u00edas de 25a mev y 35a mev, es decir 7.2% y 10.9%, respectivamente, del umbral  de producci\u00f3n de piones neutros en colisiones de nucleones libres (ethr=280 mev).  El  sistema nuclear elegido nunca ha sido  estudiado  en condiciones similares. El objetivo f\u00edsico es entender como convierte el sistema nuclear una gran parte de la energ\u00eda del movimiento relativo entre los dos n\u00facleos en un solo grado de libertad, representado por el pion neutro y, adicionalmente, clarificar el comportamiento de la temperatura de los piones producidos  en el r\u00e9gimen de energ\u00edas muy por debajo del umbral de producci\u00f3n. En efecto, los datos existentes a las energ\u00edas m\u00e1s bajas indican una temperatura independiente de la energ\u00eda del haz  y con un valor pr\u00f3ximo a 23 mev, mientras que medidas a m\u00e1s altas energ\u00edas dan valores pr\u00f3ximos a 14 mev.  El reto del an\u00e1lisis de estos datos era el identificar una se\u00f1al de piones extremadamente d\u00e9bil en comparaci\u00f3n con el fondo hadr\u00f3nico y comparable al fondo debido a rayos c\u00f3smicos. Para ello, se han desarrollado en esta tesis  procedimientos eficientes de rechazo de rayos c\u00f3smicos, aprovechando correlaciones existentes entre los par\u00e1metros  topol\u00f3gicos de la cascada electromagn\u00e9tica, los cuales presentan patrones que permiten la identificaci\u00f3n de rayos c\u00f3smicos, y por consiguiente su rechazo, suceso a suceso. Se ha calculado el fondo combinatorio debido a pares de  fotones  duros.
