Adem\u00e1s, en el caso del ngf, el aumento que provoca en la expresi\u00f3n de hes1 y hes5 desaparece si se bloquea su uni\u00f3n al receptor p75ntr, y requiere la entrada del nf-kappab en el n\u00facleo. Las condiciones de cultivo con baja expresi\u00f3n de hes1 y hes5, como son la baja densidad, cultivos tratados con el ligando soluble delta-fc o transfectados con hes6, presentan una morfolog\u00eda que se caracteriza por \u00e1rboles dendr\u00edticos m\u00e1s complejos, con un mayor n\u00famero de dendritas primarias y de puntos de ramificaci\u00f3n. Al contrario, las c\u00e9lulas que expresan altos niveles de hes1 y hes5 presentan un menor n\u00famero de dendritas primarias y de ramificaciones, como es el caso de los cultivos de alta densidad, o de las neuronas transfectadas con hes1 y hes5. La adici\u00f3n de ngf a los cultivos de densidad media s\u00f3lo afecta a la elongaci\u00f3n dendr\u00edtica, aument\u00e1ndola, mientras que en los cultivos de baja densidad afecta al n\u00famero de dendritas primarias, reduci\u00e9ndolo. El efecto sobre la elongaci\u00f3n dendr\u00edtica que se observa tras la adici\u00f3n de ngf y en los cultivos de alta densidad parece mediado por algo m\u00e1s que por p75ntr, probablemente trka. Adem\u00e1s, ligandos no neurotr\u00f3ficos de p75ntr, como son el beta amiloide y la mag, que impiden el incremento en la expresi\u00f3n de los genes hes inducido por el ngf alteran la morfolog\u00eda de las neuronas aumentando el n\u00famero de dendritas primarias y de ramificaciones. Mostramos tambi\u00e9n que la neurogenina3 y mash1 est\u00e1n regulados negativamente por la v\u00eda de notch en los cultivos de neuronas de hipocampo, ya que su expresi\u00f3n es siempre inversa a la de los genes hes1 y hes5.
