En esta tesis doctoral se presenta una metodolog\u00eda de combinaci\u00f3n de filtros que permite atenuar, de manera sencilla, intuitiva y eficaz, los distintos compromisos a los que se ven sujetos los esquemas adaptativos. Esta metodolog\u00eda, que est\u00e1 inspirada en un principio de origen biol\u00f3gico, consiste en la combinaci\u00f3n adaptativa de filtros con caracter\u00edsticas diferentes, de manera que el filtro resultante conserve las mejores propiedades de cada uno de los componentes. para ello, es necesario actualizar cada filtro individual de acuerdo a sus propias reglas, mientras que los par\u00e1metros que caracterizan la mezcla deben optimizarse (muy r\u00e1pidamente) de acuerdo con alg\u00fan criterio de comportamiento global.  esta tesis contiene tambi\u00e9n el desarrollo de esta metodolog\u00eda, analizando sus posibilidades en varias de las aplicaciones del filtrado adaptativo. los resultados obtenidos demuestran el gran potencial y versatilidad de la metodolog\u00eda
