Los que se utilizan en asturias, son fundamentalmente, la payel.La y las casta\u00f1uelas de los bailadores -por lo que respecta a los idi\u00f3fonos- y el tambor, la pandereta, el panadero de sonajas, el pandeiro o pandoro cuadrado, el bombo y el redoblante -por lo que ata\u00f1e a los menbran\u00f3fobos-. Adem\u00e1s, hay otros que -aunque de menor incidencia- tambi\u00e9n desempe\u00f1an una importante labor r\u00edtmica; son las tarra\u00f1uelas, la trompa, la botella labrada, el ballicu, etc. Incluso, las campanas utilizadas para convocar a los files a la liturgia -aunque no se emplean para acompa\u00f1ar la m\u00fasica tradicional- han tenido hasta hace pocas d\u00e9cadas una destacada presencia en el paisaje sonoro asturiano como instrumentos de percusi\u00f3n. la descripci\u00f3n y construcci\u00f3n de estos sonadores, la t\u00e9cnica empleada para sujetarlos y hacerlos sonar, la forma de interpretaci\u00f3n el repertorio y el entorno musical y social de los tocadores y tocadoras son los asuntos principales de que se trata esta tesis.  adem\u00e1s como complemento de texto principal, se han incluido dos discos in\u00e9ditos -un cd de audio y un cd-rom- que contienen grabaciones sonoras y de video producto de la selecci\u00f3n del repertorio m\u00e1s representativo
