Este modelo combina varias t\u00e9cnicas para favorecer el proceso de adquisici\u00f3n de conocimiento, y ofrece un diagn\u00f3stico adecuado y fiable a partir de la revisi\u00f3n de las respuestas de los estudiantes para los ejercicios que se les plantean. Las t\u00e9cnicas aplicadas son las siguientes: reconocimiento de planes, equiparaci\u00f3n de patrones, verificaci\u00f3n de precondiciones, detecci\u00f3n de excesos\/omisiones, detecci\u00f3n de bloques y revisor de desviaciones.  la independencia del dominio se consigue mediante una estructuraci\u00f3n conceptual del conocimiento del dominio, tanto correcto como err\u00f3neo, seg\u00fan un modelo de tareas. En \u00e9l se establecen los requisitos para definir distintos tipos de ejercicios (test, ejercicios de emparejamiento, ordenaci\u00f3n y pr\u00e1cticos) con varias respuestas posibles y soluciones no triviales. En general, un ejercicio se define mediante los datos de presentaci\u00f3n al estudiante, los patrones de soluci\u00f3n correctos y err\u00f3neos, y los errores y desviaciones t\u00edpicos. La visi\u00f3n computacional del modelo de tareas identifica tres niveles de abstracci\u00f3n: el plano abstracto contiene la meta-ontolog\u00eda para definir el dominio, y los planos concreto y de resoluci\u00f3n contienen los elementos espec\u00edficos que describen el dominio funcional necesario para el diagn\u00f3stico.  el sistema detective implementa el dise\u00f1o propuesto seg\u00fan una estructura modular, lo cual le permite integrarse con otras aplicaciones.
