Se analizan las principales variables sociales que explican la preferencia ambiental.  se compara la interpretaci\u00f3n de cinco tipos de paisajes con especial atenci\u00f3n al paisaje \u00e1rido de las bardenas reales de navarra. Se combina metodolog\u00eda cualitativa y cuantitativa, el an\u00e1lisis de discursos y las valoraciones sobre el paisaje. Incluye un cap\u00edtulo sobre la construcci\u00f3n social de la naturaleza. La bibliograf\u00eda es extensa y mayoritariamente en ingl\u00e9s, incluyendo los autores m\u00e1s relevantes en la materia y mostrando un conocimiento notable de disciplinas como la psicolog\u00eda,
