Se han asilado e identificado 17 alcaloides.  los alcaloides fenantrenicos n-metilsecoglaucina y n-oxido de thalictuberina no habian sido aislados antes de una fuente natural.  se ha estudiado el contenido alcaloidico de sarcocapnos saetabensis.
