El trabajo se centra en el desarrollo de una metodolog\u00eda basada en el analisis estadisitico de datos que integra algoritmos de segmentacion, seleccion de caracteristicas y toma de decisiones con posibilidad de adaptacion. Esta posibilidad de adaptacion permite  la aplicacion de la metodolog\u00eda desarrollada al diagnostico de herramientas bajo condiciones de mecanizado diversas. La mayoria de las soluciones recogidas en la bibliografia se centran en ejemplos muy concretos de tipos de operaciones funcionando bajo condiciones de mecanizado estrictamente fijadas lo que dificulta su extension a escala industrial, debido al empleo de sensores especiales y de dificil integracion en un entorno fabril.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
