En este trabajo hemos estudiado la funci\u00f3n del receptor cxcr3 y de sus correspondientes quimioquinas, ip-10\/cxcl10 y mig\/cxcl9, tanto en condiciones fisiol\u00f3gicas como en procesos inflamatorios.  el estudio inmunohistoqu\u00edmico mostr\u00f3 que la expresi\u00f3n de cxcr3 no estaba limitada a linfocitos como se cre\u00eda, sino que tambi\u00e9n era expresado por determinadas c\u00e9lulas dendr\u00edticas (cd) (cd11c+) y determinadas c\u00e9lulas endoteliales (ce) en tejidos sanos. Utilizando como modelo de enfermedad autoinmune, las enfermedades tiroideas autoinmunes, analizamos las c\u00e9lulas epiteliales del tiroides y vimos que eran capaces de producir las quimioquinas ip-10\/cxcl10 y mig\/cxcl9, ligandos de cxcr3, tanto in vivo, como in vitro tras ser estimulados con citoquinas proinflamatorias, fundamentalmente ifn- . Asimismo los tirocitos produc\u00edan otras quimioquinas como rantes\/ccl5 o mcp-1\/ccl2, que colaboran probablemente con los ligandos de cxcr3 en el reclutamiento de linfocitos al lugar de inflamaci\u00f3n. Se observ\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n un incremento en la expresi\u00f3n de los receptores cxcr3, ccr5 y ccr2 en los linfocitos intratiroideos frente a linfocitos aut\u00f3logos de sangre perif\u00e9rica. Asimismo se encontr\u00f3 expresi\u00f3n del receptor cxcr3 en  las cd y ce en las zonas cercanas al infiltrado. nuestros datos muestran un importante papel del receptor de quimioquinas cxcr3 y sus ligandos ip-10\/cxcl10 y mig\/cxcl9 en el proceso inflamatorio de las enfermedades tiroideas autoinmunes y que podr\u00edan utilizarse como nueva diana en el tratamiento de estas
