Se comparan ligantes potencialmente tetradentados: acidos nta, ndap, nadp y ntp, con ligantes potencialmente hexadentados:  acidos edta, eddadp, edtp, 1,2-pdta, cdta, o-phdta, 3,4-tdta y 4-c1-o-phdta. Se comparan ligantes hexadentados derivados de diaminas alifaticas con los derivados de diaminas aromaticas, en orden a estudiar la competencia del be(ii) y los protones por la union a atomos de nitrogeno de diferente basicidad. Se comparan ligantes que forman anillos quelatos de cinco miembros (grupos aceticos) con ligantes que los forman de seis (grupos propionicos). Se estudia la captura selectiva de be(ii) al objeto de encontrar buenos agentes secuestrantes. Se resuelve la estructura cristalina del complejo na(be(ntp)).3h20. Se estudia la capacidad coordinante en disolucion acuosa y en el disolvente mixto dmso:agua de diversos aminoacidos y de los ligantes tridentados (ida) y sus n-alquil derivados mida, eida y
