Sin embargo, se sabe muy poco sobre la sabe molecular que determina la compartimentalizaci\u00f3n del dna procari\u00f3tico. La prote\u00edna p1 aumenta la eficiencia de la replicaci\u00f3n del dna viral. Estudios previos indicaron que la prte\u00edna p1 est\u00e1 asociada a la membrana bacteriana tanto durante la replicaci\u00f3n del dna viral como en ausencia de componentes virales. madiante el uso del detergente trit\u00f3n x-114 se ha estudiado la naturales de dicha asociaci\u00f3n. Este analisis bioqu\u00edmico ha revelado que la prote\u00edna p1, al igual que la prote\u00ednas integrales de membrana, tiene una naturaleza anfif\u00edlica. Adem\u00e1s los estudioa de inmunomicroscop\u00eda elelctr\u00f3nica han mostrado que la prote\u00edna p1 tiene una localizaci\u00f3n periferica, tanto durante la replicaci\u00f3n del dna como en ausencia de componentes virales. Por otro lado, mediante la combinaci\u00f3n de t\u00e9cnicas de entrecruzamiento qu\u00edmico y fraccionamiento celular se ha demostrado que la prote\u00edna p1 forma estructuras multim\u00e9ricas y que dichas estructuras estan asociadas a la membrana bacteriana. Estos resultados apoyan un modelo para la funci\u00f3n de la prot\u00e9\u00edna p1 en la replicaci\u00f3n del dna, seg\u00fan el cual una estructura multim\u00e9rica de p1 proporciona un sitio
