Esta es la primera se\u00f1al y ha de ser amplificada para una correcta activaci\u00f3n de los linfocitos t (lt) y esta amplificaci\u00f3n es realizada por parejas ligando-receptor con funci\u00f3n co-estimuladora, como b7- cd28, que dan la llamada segunda se\u00f1al. Entonces la zona de contacto entre el lt y la c\u00e9lula  presentadota (apc) se denominada sinapsis inmunitaria (si), y las mol\u00e9culas accesorias y de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n de ambas c\u00e9lulas se van reorganizando fo  rmando una estructura denominada complejo supramolecular  de asociaci\u00f3n o smac. Cd6 pertenece a la superfamilia de receptores con dominios ricos en ciste\u00ednas tipo scavenger (srcr, scavenger receptors cistein rich). Se expresa en lt maduros e inmaduros, c\u00e9lulas de la leucemia  linf\u00e1tica cr\u00f3nica, un subtipo de c\u00e9lulas b denominado bla y sistema nervioso central. Tradicionalmente ha sido descrito como un receptor con funci\u00f3n co-estimuladora pero el mecanismo por el que realiza esta  funci\u00f3n no es conocido. Este trabajo de tesis doctoral pretende ampliar los escasos conocimientos existentes sobre esta prote\u00edna. Nuestros objetivos han sido: 1. Estudio de posibles asociaciones de cd6 con otros receptores linfocitarios. 2. Implicaci\u00f3n de cd6 y cd5 (miembro de la misma sf-srcr  con el que tiene gran homolog\u00eda) en los procesos de activaci\u00f3n linfocitaria. estudiando su presencia en estructuras relacionadas en la activaci\u00f3n como la sinapsis inmunitaria (si) y los rafts, y la implicaci\u00f3n de sus respectivos ligandos en estos procesos. 3. Posibles asociaciones realizadas por la regi\u00f3n  citoplasm\u00e1tica de cd6.  1. Estudio de posibles asociaciones de cd6 con otros receptores linfocitarios:  mediante estudios bioqu\u00edmicos (co-inmunoprecipitaci\u00f3n) y de biolog\u00eda celular (fret y
