El estudio parte de un estado de la cuesti\u00f3n muy poco desarrol!Ado-donde tan s\u00f3lo se hab\u00edan transcrito unos pocos documentos-, para llegar a estudiar en profundidad todas las manifestaciones pict\u00f3ricas de este periodo orden\u00e1ndolas cronol\u00f3gica y estil\u00edsticamente, adem\u00e1s de abordar sus fuentes grabadas-cuando existen-y las escritas. De esta manera comenzamos por el estudio del retablo de san miguel  de barillas como primera manifestaci\u00f3n de la pintura tardog\u00f3tica en navarra, al mismo circulo asignamos el desaparecido retablo de san sebasti\u00e1n y santa ana en cintru\u00e9nigo-del que nos quedan un par de fotos-.Inmediatamente despu\u00e9s se analiza el llamando c\u00edrculo de pedro d\u00edaz de oviedo con el retablo mayor de la catedral de tudela-obra del artista citado-corno obra se\u00f1era, c\u00edrculo que se completa con los retablos de san andr\u00e9s y santiago de la seo de tarazona y con los navarros de cascante y cabanillas obra de pedro de miranda, disc\u00edpulo del anterior. El tercer c\u00edrculo se forja en torno a los retablos de los caparroso de la catedral de pamplona y engloba a artistas como francisco de orgaz y florist\u00e1n de aria que trabajan en sang\u00ed\u00bcesa, artajona y la propia catedral pamplonesa, siendo disc\u00edpulos del llamado maestro de los caparroso-art\u00edfice de los grandes retablos citados-, el cual, hemos identificado, con prudencial con el artista franc\u00e9s johan de charles. Por \u00faltimo, abordamos el trabajo de diego polo-retablos de muruz\u00e1bal nagore, ayechu y tabla de muniain de la solana-, artista de segura formaci\u00f3n aragonesa, asentado en la villa navarra de puente la reina y asociado al maestro entallador ter\u00edn al menos desde 1501, la muerte de este pintor acaecida en puente lal reina en 1531 cierra el panorama de la pintura tardog\u00f3tica en navarra. Para terminar, encontramos la influencia de dos importantes grabadores en la pintura de este periodo en navarra, israel van meckenem y martin schongauer en pamplona y tudela respectivamente. Adem\u00e1s se analizan los complejos programas iconogr\u00e1ficos de los retablos del santo cristo y la duda de santo tom\u00e1s de la catedral de pamplona, as\u00ed como del de san saturnino de
