En especial se considera la influencia de la diferencia entre las propiedades mec\u00e1nicas de los distintos materiales que forman la uni\u00f3n soldada, as\u00ed como de la geometr\u00eda de la probeta sobre la que se realicen los ensayos de fractura.  se consideran dos tipos de uniones, seg\u00fan el material de aporte fundido tenga una resistencia mayor o menor que la del metal base. El estudio es inicialmente te\u00f3rico, bas\u00e1ndose en la modelizaci\u00f3n num\u00e9rica de la uni\u00f3n soldada, formada por dos o tres materiales seg\u00fan se considere o no el efecto del da\u00f1o d\u00factil. En todos los casos se cuantifica la variaci\u00f3n de construcci\u00f3n que producen estas diferencias mec\u00e1nicas en los campos de tensiones. Se intenta adem\u00e1s relacionar esta variaci\u00f3n en los campos tensionales con la producida por la constricci\u00f3n geom\u00e9trica (debida a la geometr\u00eda de la probeta), estableciendo as\u00ed una metodolog\u00eda que permite cuantificar la constriccion total y extrapolar los resultados obtenidos para una determinada probeta de fractura de una uni\u00f3n soldada, a otra con distinta geometr\u00eda y distinto material de aporte a base. Se ha programado adem\u00e1s un modelo de da\u00f1o d\u00factil basado en el modelo de gurson tvergaard needleman y en el criterio de coalescencia de thomason y se ha incorporado al an\u00e1lisis por elementos finitos a partir de subrutinas de usuario para estudiar el efecto de la soldadura en la propagaci\u00f3n d\u00factil. Finalmente, los resultados num\u00e9ricos se han verificado mediante ensayos experimentales de fractura, los cuales permiten adem\u00e1s conocer los micromecanismos de fractura presentes en las
