El mecanismo por el cual el h2o2 es capaz de liberar calcio desde los almacenes sensibles a agonistas, est\u00e1 mediado por la oxidaci\u00f3n de puentes disulfuro que provoca un cambio conformacional en dicho canal. adicionalmente, el h2o2 inhibe la activaci\u00f3n de las bomas serca y pmca.  el h2o2 posee un papel dual sobre la activaci\u00f3n y mantenimiento de la ecc, dependiendo de la dosis, ya que bajas dosis produce un incremento en dicho mecanismo, mientras que altas dosis provocan una fuerte inhibici\u00f3n.
