Esta versatilidad del procesamiento coloidal ha servido para obtener nuevos materiales con propiedades que responden a las mayores necesidades que los nuevos desarrollos tecnol\u00f3gicos requieren de los materiales. Cada vez se exigen propiedades con mayores prestaciones que pueden ser logradas mediante la formulaci\u00f3n de composiciones con fases de caracteristicas distintas. Tal es el caso de los compuestos de cer\u00e1micas y metales (cermets). Independiente de la aplicaci\u00f3n para la que sean dise\u00f1ados o propuestos, los cermets requieren un estricto control de la dispersi\u00f3n de ambas fases, ya que \u00e9sta condiciona las propiedades finales del compuesto y por lo tanto su capacidad para aplicaciones concretas. A pesar de los buenos resultados obtenidos en el procesamiento de los polvos cer\u00e1micas, no se ha realizado un estudio similar para los polvos met\u00e1licos. Entre los motivos de esta ausencia de estudio cabe destacar la elevada densidad de los plovos met\u00e1licos junto con su inestabilidad fisico-quimica en suspensiones acuosas que dificultan la obtenci\u00f3n de suspensiones concentradas. Estas suspensiones de polvo met\u00e1licos, si se obtuvieran de un modo estable, podrian dar lugar a la obtenci\u00f3n de piezas y microestructuras metalicas y metal cer\u00e1micas por medio de las
