Ku ?). En concreto, a trav\u00e9s del estudio del lenguaje de la negatividad en la obra de nishitani, se propone una interpretaci\u00f3n de su obra de madurez la religi\u00f3n y la nada (1961).  se plantea la hip\u00f3tesis de que con la noci\u00f3n de vacuidad, el fil\u00f3sofo se sit\u00faa en la l\u00ednea de la tradici\u00f3n apof\u00e1tica de la filosof\u00eda occidental, en tanto que emplea un t\u00e9rmino negativo para nombrar el m\u00e1ximo grado de positividad, esto es, la plenitud del ser. As\u00ed, con este recurso evita delimitar el significado de la realidad \u00faltima, determinar lo indeterminado, y logra remitir m\u00e1s que a un contenido meramente conceptual a una experiencia existencial. Por otro lado, se sostiene que el autor se sirve de esta noci\u00f3n, de origen budista, para distanciarse de otras concepciones de la nada que se inscriben fundamentalmente en la tradici\u00f3n occidental. Frente a estas concepciones, que el autor no considera suficientemente radicales, destaca el aspecto positivo que atribuye a la vacuidad: en vez de un l\u00edmite del ser, se presenta como su condici\u00f3n de posibilidad.  el trabajo est\u00e1 dividido en dos partes precedidas por una breve biograf\u00eda intelectual de nishitani keiji. La primera indaga en los significados de la nada en el existencialismo, el nihilismo y el pensamiento cristiano, principales interlocutores y objetos de cr\u00edtica del fil\u00f3sofo.
