Existen factores propicios del tumor y otros del microambiente tumoral que contribuye a aumentar la capacidad metastatica de las celulas del melanoma b16. Sin embargo, se ha intentado sin exito identificar los genes y proteinas que regulan el comportamiento metastatico de los tumores malignos. Dicha informacion proporcionaria marcadores para predecir el pronostico del cancer, y acerca de las moleculas que regulan la metastasis podria tener implicaciones terapeuticas. El presente proyecto se planteo con la finalidad de identificar el perfil de expresion genica que aparece en las celulas de un tumor experimental metastatico cuando se eleva su nivel de estres oxidativo tras la inhibicion de su maquinaria antioxidantes endogena, o como consecuenca de factores oxidantes exogenos.  los resultados obtenidos demuestran que los cambios intracelulares del gsh asociados al crecimiento in vitro del melanoma determinan diferentes patrones transcripcionales de expresion genica en respuesta al estres oxidativo endogeno y exogeno. Estos patrones se correlacionan con aumentos estadisticamente significativos en la capacidad de generar metastasis hepaticas de las celulas tumorales mantenidas en dichas condiciones. El analisis de los genes que sufren alteraciones transcripcionales en este modelo de activacion prometastatica del melanoma por estres oxidativo demuestra la aparicion en las celulas del melanoma, de un complejo entramado molecular en elq ue se armonizan simultaneamente mecanismos funcionales de proliferaci\u00f3n, invasion, angiogenesis, proteccion redox. Escape inmune, inflamacion y adhesion intercelular.  mas aun, los transcriptomas que caracterizan la activacion prometastatica del melanoma b16 por estres oxidativo, endogeno y exogeno, constituyen
