Estos sistemas, en general, consisten en alimentar la bobina con corriente continua rectificada aplicando pulsos modulados en amplitud (pwm) de modo que durante el periodo de cierre del circuito magn\u00e9tico se aplica una corriente elevada cuyo valor se reduce un orden de magnitud una vez dicho circuito ha cerrado.  en general se controla la corriente de bobina, de acuerdo con un perfil predeterminado en funci\u00f3n exclusivamente del tiempo transcurrido desde la orden de cierre.  la ventaja de este sistema es poder aumentar la presi\u00f3n de los contactos, lo cual reduce el riesgo de rebote de los mismos y aumenta la intensidad t\u00e9rmica debido a la mayor presi\u00f3n de los contactos, que reduce la resistencia de paso de los mismos permitiendo una mayor corriente con el mismo grado de calentamiento. Por otra parte, al tener una elevada energ\u00eda en el momento del cierre el impacto mec\u00e1nico del circuito magn\u00e9tico es mayor, con lo cual hay que prestar especial atenci\u00f3n en el dise\u00f1o del contactor  con el fin de prever un adecuado sistema el\u00e1stico que absorba o cuando menos limite la transmisi\u00f3n de energ\u00eda de impacto a los contactos y evite la deformaci\u00f3n del las caras polares del propio circuito magn\u00e9tico.  as\u00ed pues, el objetivo de la tesis es desarrollar un sistema inteligente para el control del cierre de contactores electromec\u00e1nicos, que controle la din\u00e1mica del r\u00e9gimen transitorio durante el cierre, de tal manera que se evite el efecto de rebote mec\u00e1nico y en consecuencia prolongue la vida
