Su gran ventaja, frente a los metodos tradicionales, es la rapidez con que se obtienen los resultados analiticos sin disolver la muestra ni destruirla. Pero es necesario disponer de calibraciones obtenidas con muestras de composicion conocida e identicas a las que se pretende analizar. En este trabajo, se desarrollan las calibraciones nir para nitrogeno (n), fibra acido detergente (adf) y digestibilidad in vivo (dmd) en pastos, utilizando 178 muestras de pastos cultivados en mabegondo (la coru\u00f1a); se comparan los resultados nir con los obtenidos por otros metodos analiticos. La precision de la nir para n y adf es alta y mayor que la dmd. Sin embargo, la espectroscopia nir es la tecnica de laboratorio mas precisa para determinar la digestibilidad in vivo.  *) del centro de investigaciones agrarias de mabegondo
