Esta extension permite considerar tanto ferritas saturadas como parcialmente magnetizadas. Para ello se a\u00f1ade a las ecuaciones de maxwell una nueva ecuacion diferencial que describe las caracteristicas de las ferritas en el dominio del tiempo.  el esquema resultante presenta las mismas ventajas que en el caso isotropo y no dispersivo, incluyendo su naturaleza explicita. La nueva extension del metodo fdtd se ha aplicado al analisis de guias de ondas cargadas con ferritas magnetizadas. Como forma de mejorar la eficiencia del metodo en este tipo de aplicaciones se propone la utilizacion del metodo de prony como alternativa a la transformada rapida fourier en el proceso de analisis
