La inducci\u00f3n de enzimas secuestradoras de per\u00f3xido de hidr\u00f3geno tales como catalasa, super\u00f3xido dismutasa, ascorbato peroxidasa, asi como monodeshidroascorbato reductasa, glutation reductasa, deshidrogenasas dependientes de nadp, peroxirredoxinas y prote\u00ednas tipo oxido n\u00edtrico sintasa, indica que en plantas de olivo estas enzimas est\u00e1n implicadas en los mecanismos de tolerancia de la planta frente al estr\u00e9s (oxidativo y nitrosativo) inducido por salinidad. Los resultados obtenidos en la tesis indican que el estr\u00e9s nitrosativo participa conjuntamente con el estr\u00e9s oxidativo como un componente significativo en el da\u00f1o celular que origina el estr\u00e9s abi\u00f3tico por salinidad en pl\u00e1ntulas de olivo, evidenciando fen\u00f3menos de comunicaci\u00f3n celular y tisular entre especies del metabolismo oxidativo, nitrosativo y del
