{"id":72962,"date":"2018-03-09T23:17:51","date_gmt":"2018-03-09T23:17:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.deberes.net\/tesis\/sin-categoria\/new-radiative-neutron-capture-measurement-of-207pb-and-209bi\/"},"modified":"2018-03-09T23:17:51","modified_gmt":"2018-03-09T23:17:51","slug":"new-radiative-neutron-capture-measurement-of-207pb-and-209bi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deberes.net\/tesis\/fisica\/new-radiative-neutron-capture-measurement-of-207pb-and-209bi\/","title":{"rendered":"New radiative neutron capture measurement of 207pb and 209bi"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Tesis doctoral de <strong> C\u00e9sar Domingo Pardo <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La medida de secciones eficaces de captura neutr\u00f3nica radiativa viene motivada por dos temas principalmente, i) la elaboraci\u00f3n y desarrollo de modelos estelares y de evoluci\u00f3n gal\u00e1ctica precisos, que permitan describir las abundancias observadas en las estrellas de is\u00f3topos m\u00e1s pesados que el fe (a&gt;56) y ii) el dise\u00f1o de reactores nucleares avanzados, para la transmutaci\u00f3n de residuos radiactivos y la producci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda nuclear por fisi\u00f3n.  en el presente trabajo se han medido y analizado las secciones eficaces de captura radiativa de dos de los n\u00facleos m\u00e1s relevantes para los temas mencionados anteriormente, 207pb y 209bi.  la t\u00e9cnica utilizada para determinar la energ\u00eda del neutr\u00f3n es la conocida como tiempo de vuelo. Estas medidas se llevaron a cabo en la instalaci\u00f3n n_tof del cern (ginebra). En esta instalaci\u00f3n se puede alcanzar una excelente resoluci\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica gracias  al t\u00fanel de 185 m de longitud.  el haz de neutrones se obtiene por el mecanismo de espalaci\u00f3n, haciendo incidir el haz pulsado del sincrotr\u00f3n de protones (ps) del cern sobre un bloque de plomo.  para la determinaci\u00f3n de la secci\u00f3n eficaz de captura radiativa, se ha empleado el m\u00e9todo experimental conocido como t\u00e9cnica de los detectores de energ\u00eda total. \u00e9ste consiste en utilizar detectores de centelleo de baja eficiencia. El reducido volumen de dicho dispositivo experimental resulta ventajoso, en t\u00e9rminos de sensitividad neutr\u00f3nica, frente a la t\u00e9cnica alternativa de emplear un detector de absorci\u00f3n total.  la t\u00e9cnica de los detectores de energ\u00eda total es tambi\u00e9n conocida como m\u00e9todo de pesado de pulsos, ya que para corregir el efecto de la baja eficiencia de los detectores, se debe aplicar un peso en funci\u00f3n de la amplitud de los pulsos medidos. Este peso se calcula generalmente a partir de simulaciones monte carlo de la distribuci\u00f3n de respuesta del sistema de medida.  sin embargo, esta t\u00e9cnica ha sido fuente
