Incluye el estudio de los nuevos modelos de instrumentos y la transformaci\u00f3n de los tradicionales; la tecnolog\u00eda e industrializaci\u00f3n de los talleres y f\u00e1bricas; la protecci\u00f3n de inventos a trav\u00e9s de los privilegios de invenci\u00f3n (1826-1878) y patentes (1878-1911); la participaci\u00f3n de los constructores en las exposiciones nacionales de industria (1827-1850) y en las exposiciones internacionales (1851-1900); la documentaci\u00f3n de archivo; y los propios instrumentos conservados.  cap. 1: el oficio de constructor; cap. 2: el comercio de instrumentos en Madrid: de la venta directa de los constructores a los almacenes de m\u00fasica. la dependencia de la importaci\u00f3n; cap. 3: \u00abMadrid me mata\u00bb.
