Los medios de cultivo suelen incluir residuos lignocelul\u00f3sicos que permiten una inducci\u00f3n de la producci\u00f3n enzim\u00e1tica.  los enzimas producidos de esta forma se han empleado como agentes de la degradaci\u00f3n de colorantes, que por su variedad y similitud con multitud de compuestos xenobi\u00f3ticos, se pueden considerar contaminantes modelo. de este modo los estudios de decoloraci\u00f3n  permit\u00e9n obtener informaci\u00f3n acerca de la capacidad de degradaci\u00f3n de constaminantes mediante enzimas ligninol\u00edticos.  con phanerochaete chysosporium se realizaron estudios de decoloraci\u00f3n in vivo e in vitro. En los estudios de decoloraci\u00f3n in vivo coexistente procesos de degradaci\u00f3n enzim\u00e1tica y de adsorci\u00f3n. Mediante decoloraci\u00f3n in vitro se puso a punto un m\u00e9todo de docoloraci\u00f3n con adiciones de manganeso peroxidasa y per\u00f3xido de hidr\u00f3geno que permite mejorar los resultados de decoloraci\u00f3n,as\u00ed como un tratamiento continuo en el tiempo.  en diferentes estudios de decoloraci\u00f3n con el enzima lacasa de trametes vesicolor se lleg\u00f3 a la conclusi\u00f3n de que el modo de producic\u00f3n de dicho enzima influye sobremanera en la capacidad de decoloraci\u00f3n del l\u00edquido extracelular producido. Las diferencias obtenidas se deben a factores enzim\u00e1ticos y no enzim\u00e1ticos. El factor no enzim\u00e1tico hace referencia a las sustancias de bajo peso molecular producidas en los cultivos, capaces de producir la decoloraci\u00f3n de ciertas estructuras por s\u00ed mismas. Esta actividad est\u00e1 mediada paor la presencia de per\u00f3xidos producidos por los propios hongos. el factor enzim\u00e1tico viene dado por la diferencia de composici\u00f3n del complejo enzim\u00e1tico producido, en concreto, por la diferencia en la proporci\u00f3n de isoenzimas lacasa presente en cada tipo de cultivo.
