El tratamiento de pacientes con diodo l\u00e1ser infrarrojo cercano, reduce el espasmo muscular y al mismo tiempo se ha descrito aumento de la movilidad m\u00fasculos.  objetivo: estudiar el efecto de lllt, 655 nm (rojo) y 830 nm (infrarrojo cercano) en la liberaci\u00f3n de neurotransmisor en la uni\u00f3n neuromuscular del diafragma de rata.  material y m\u00e9todo:  se realizaron dos tipos de estudios:  1) in vitro en 60 m\u00fasculos diafragm\u00e1ticos con su correspondiente nervio fr\u00e9nico  2) in vivo en 20 m\u00fasculos elevador de la oreja del rat\u00f3n.  los l\u00e1seres eran diodos de gallium-aluminium-arsenide (gaalas):  a) 655 nm (rojo) a una densidad de energ\u00eda de 1 a 12 julios por cent\u00edmetro cuadrado  b) 830 nm (infrarrojo cercano) a una densidad de energ\u00eda de 4 a 12 j\/cm2.  1)         se realiz\u00f3 el control de la temperatura en el medio de mantenimiento de la muestra a las dosis m\u00e1ximas utilizadas, comprobando que no se produc\u00eda ning\u00fan tipo de modificaci\u00f3n que pudiera interferir en el registro de los potenciales.  2) la liberaci\u00f3n de neurotransmisor fue estudiada por la t\u00e9cnica convencional de registro intracelular de potencial de membrana, en un medio con concentraciones altas de magnesio (bloqueo presin\u00e1ptico) o curarizado (bloqueo postsin\u00e1ptico). se midi\u00f3 el contenido qu\u00e1ntico, la amplitud, latencia y el tiempo medio de los potenciales de placa terminal (epps). Frecuencia y amplitud de los potenciales espont\u00e1neos en miniatura, junto a la placa terminal (mepps). la facilitaci\u00f3n de la liberaci\u00f3n de neurotransmisor se evalu\u00f3 tras el
