Las propiedades del transporte de monosacaridos son similares a las descritas para los epitelios absortivos de los mamiferos (intestino y ri\u00f1on), es decir, dependientes de sodio. Tanto para alfametilglucosido como d-glucosa se obtienen valores de km y vmax similares a los descritos para otros tipos de crustaceos (ahearn, g.A. Y col., 1985). El transporte de acido folico es ph-dependiente, pero no sodiodependiente, lo cual coincide con lo descrito para el transporte de folico en bbmv de intestino humano y de cerdo (said, h.M.  y col., 1987; reisenauer, a.M. Y col., 1986). La composicion lipidica y de acidos grasos es similar a la de otros crustaceos marinos. Sin embargo difieren de los de rata, raton e intestino de conejo, donde el contenido en colesterol es mas alto (brasitus, t.A., 1987; kawai, k. Y col., 1987; hauser, h. Y col., 1980; aubry, h. Y col., 1986). La relacion colesterol\/fosfolipidos es mas baja en el langostino que en bbmv de vertebrados, lo cual se manifiesta en una mayor fluidez de membrana. Se ha visto tambien la existencia de un intercambiador na\/h, el cual se pone de manifiesto al existir un gradiente de ph (phi=5,5\/pho=8,5), lo cual coincide con los resultados obtenidos por ahearn, g.A. Y franco, p.
