Al realizar un trasplante de un donante con un corazon sano, sometemos bruscamente a un ventriculo derecho, acostumbrado a trabajar dentro de un circuito de baja presion, a una situacion de postcarga elevada, sin capacidad de adaptacion. Se produce como consecuencia un fallo ventricular derecho, que variara su severidad segun el grado de htp.  hemos dise\u00f1ado un modelo biologico de htp aguda en veinte cerdos denervados, mediante constriccion del tronco de la arteria pulmonar, procediendo a calcular la maxima presion es capaz de desarrollar este ventriculo derecho en situacion de htp aguda en dos situaciones con y sin pericardio.  los resultados indican que con igual hemodinamica de presion de ventriculo izquierdo y gasto cardiaco, en el grupo con pericardio integro, se consigue una presion sistolica de ventriculo derecho de 74.1 mm hg (+ \/ &#8211; 7.98), frente a 51.9 mm hg (+ \/ &#8211; 6.45) en el grupo sin pericardio. (P &lt; 0.001).  nuestra conclusion principal, es que a nivel experimental el cierre del pericardio mejora significativamente la maxima presion sistolica desarrollada por el ventriculo en situacion de
