En ella he intentado analizar todo el arte del  mueble y la obra de carpinter\u00eda desde la \u00e9poca de fundaci\u00f3n hasta las intervenciones llevadas a cabo por los borbones, as\u00ed como los palacetes situados en las mediaciones del monasterio: la casita del pr\u00edncipe y la  casita de arriba. La tesis consta de seis cap\u00edtulos, de los cuales, el primero trata sobre las vinculaciones entre juan bautista de toledo y juan de rerrera. La tradici\u00f3n c1asicista que impregna toda la obra escurialense y su influencia en la arquitectura de madera. Adem\u00e1s tambi\u00e9n trata sobre la repercusi\u00f3n que tiene la arquitectura del monasterio de san lorenzo el real, en la arquitectura clasicista espa\u00f1ola del siglo xvi. Es un tema verdaderamente novedoso e in\u00e9dito en la bibliografia de la ebanister\u00eda escurialense al tratar el tema de la arquitectura mobiliaria escurialense. en los dos cap\u00edtulos siguientes se estudian los encargos de carpinter\u00eda y ebanister\u00eda respectivamente. El cuarto cap\u00edtulo se centra en los artistas que trabajaron en el real monasterio, desde la \u00e9poca de fundaci\u00f3n hasta la finalizaci\u00f3n de las obras. Este cap\u00edtulo, especialmente aborda, la organizaci\u00f3n gremial y la creaci\u00f3n de la congregaci\u00f3n como el \u00f3rgano directivo de las obras del  monasterio. El cap\u00edtulo v est\u00e1 dedicado a la ebanister\u00eda realizada en la \u00e9poca de los borbones en el monasterio y en los palacetes de la casita de abajo y la casita de arriba, del siglo xviii respectivamente.
