Esta idea se basa en la observaci\u00f3n de niveles de expresi\u00f3n, sensiblemente distintos, de prote\u00ednas reguladoras de ciclo celular en biopsias cerebrales postmortem de individuos controles y enfermos de alzheimer.   \ten esta tesis se ha estudiado la regulaci\u00f3n del ciclo celular en linfoblastos de enfermos de alzheimer y donantes controles, bas\u00e1ndonos en observaciones previas, que indican que algunos procesos patol\u00f3gicos del sistema nervios pueden tener manifestaciones extraneurales, cuya repercusi\u00f3n funcional podr\u00eda pasar desapercibida.   \tla enfermedad de alzheimer (ea) se asocia con alteraciones en la v\u00eda de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n dependiente de ca++\/calmodulina, de manera que los linfoblastos derivados de pacientes con ea presenta, respecto a las c\u00e9lulas de individuos no dementes, una aparente ventaja proliferativa, es decir, una mayor velocidad de crecimiento celular en presencia de suero, y una resistencia mayor a la muerte celular por apoptosis, inducida por su ausencia. El aumento en la actividad proliferativa de linfoblastos de pacients de alzheimer es consecuencia de la hiperfosforilaci\u00f3n de las prote\u00ednas de la familia de retinoblastoma y de la mayor actividad del factor de transcripci\u00f3n e2f. El control de la supervivencia celular depende de la actividad de calmodulina quinasa ii, y se ejerce a trav\u00e9s de cambios en la activaci\u00f3n del factor de transcripci\u00f3n nfkb y en el balance entre prote\u00ednas pro y antiapopt\u00f3ticas.   \testos resultados, obtenidos en c\u00e9lulas extraneurales, f\u00e1cilmente accesibles, aportan algunas claves al estudio de la patog\u00e9nesis de la enfermedad de alzheimer, y podr\u00edan, eventualmente, tener inter\u00e9s para el diagnostico y la b\u00fasqueda de dianas terap\u00e9uticas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
