Isabel <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>El objetivo de la tesis es analizar los grabados de los primeros libros novohispanos desde el punto de vista artistico y su relacion con la historia de la imprenta en mexico. Es un trabajo de recopilacion de imagenes, el estudio iconografico de estas, su procedencia y las caracteristicas de los grabados segun el taller tipografico que los estampo.  se pretende conocer el tipo de imagenes que ilustraron los primeros impresos americanos y cual fue la tematica que predomino. Los modelos se importaron de occidente y se adecuaron al ambito novohispano. Por ello es interesante indicar la procedencia europea del grabado y su trayectoria en los libros mexicanos.  el estudio del grabado indica la evolucion artistica de la imagen y la importancia de esta en un ambito en el que habia un gran numero de analfabetos, por lo que la figura fue tambien un medio de comunicacion.
