En consecuencia, el desarrolla de inhibidores selectivos de pks se ha convertido en un \u00e1rea muy activa de investigaci\u00f3n.  en este entorno, se describe una reacci\u00f3n multicomponente, asistida por microondas, para la s\u00edntesis de pirido[2,3-d]pirimidinas 4-amino o 4-oxo sustituidas, la cual proporciona unos rendimientos elevados en tiempos de reacci\u00f3n de 10 minutos.
