El principal motivo para ello, radica en que muchos problemas, que aparecen en otras ramas de la matem\u00e1tica, como pueden ser la f\u00edsica, la biolog\u00eda, la ingenier\u00eda, etc&#8230;, Se modelizan con ecuaciones integrales.  en la  memoria de esta tesis, se estudia la existencia de soluciones de ecuaciones integrales no lineales en sentido riemann y stieltjes, definidas en los espacios c[0,1] y bc(r+r). En estos espacios se estudian, adem\u00e1s, la existencia de soluciones de ecuaciones funcionales-integrales.  la t\u00e9cnica general para obtener los teoremas de existencia de soluciones, que se presentan en esta tesis,  es el teorema del punto fijo de darbo, que utiliza las medidas de no compacidad. Por ello, ha sido fundamental el hecho de que existan medidas de no compacidad con expresiones manejables en c[0,1] y bc(r+r).
