Se presenta un detallado estudio te\u00f3rico que incluye el c\u00e1lculo de la estructura de bandas y la ganancia material de los mencionados pozos cu\u00e1nticos.  en el cso del ingaas, se demuestra emisi\u00f3n l\u00e1ser a temperatura ambiente hasta 1.11 micras y demuestra que el campo piez\u00e9lectrico est\u00e1 s\u00f3lo parcialmente apantallado en umbral . Tambi\u00e9n se calcula por primera vez la renormalizaci\u00f3n del gap en estos dispositivos , resultados ser mayor que en el caso equivalente en substrato convencional (100).  en cuanto al galnnas, adem\u00e1s de analizar de forma te\u00f3rica los cambios que el n produce en la estructura de bandas y la ganancia del material , se realiza un estudio \u00f3ptico y estructural de pozos cu\u00e1nticos que permite relacionar el fen\u00f3meno de la localizaci\u00f3n de portadores con la morfolog\u00eda del pozo , as\u00ed como aclarar el efecto de los tratamientos t\u00e9rmicos en la fotoluminiscencia. Se utilizan diodos electroluminiscentes para demostrar el enorme impacto de la recombinaci\u00f3n no-radiativa y finalmente se demuestra emisi\u00f3n l\u00e1ser hasta 1.52 micras con valores record de
