El da\u00f1o por isquemia y reperfusi\u00f3n (ir) secundario a la extracci\u00f3n, almacenaje e implante renal, afecta a la recuperaci\u00f3n del \u00f3rgano trasplantado y se identifica como un factor ant\u00edgeno-independiente, de extraordinaria importancia en el desarrollo del fallo del injerto. El \u00f3xido n\u00edtrico (no) puede jugar un importante papel en la protecci\u00f3n del \u00f3rgano contra el da\u00f1o vascular y ser una mol\u00e9cula clave en la reparaci\u00f3n del da\u00f1o tisular por ir.  en esta tesis doctoral hemos estudiado, en dos fases, la regulaci\u00f3n de la respuesta inflamatoria originada por ir en el procedimiento de trasplante renal en animales tratados con un donador de no. En una primera fase, mediante un modelo experimental de ir, evaluamos el efecto de tres distintos donadores de no (la-803, la-807 y la-810) sobre la respuesta inflamatoria, hallando que con la administraci\u00f3n de la-803 y la-807 se observa una menor infiltraci\u00f3n linfoc\u00edtica, objetivada por una menor actividad mieloperoxidasa, una menor producci\u00f3n de radicales libres, una disminuci\u00f3n de las citocinas proinflamatorias y un aumento de las antiinflamatorias, manteni\u00e9ndose una funci\u00f3n renal normal. Los resultados m\u00e1s \u00f3ptimos se obtuvieron con el la-803.  en la segunda fase, sobre un modelo experimental de trasplante renal, evaluamos el efecto del donador de no, la-803, en la etapa aguda de reperfusi\u00f3n postrasplante renal. Encontramos que, con la utilizaci\u00f3n del donador de no, se produce una menor infiltraci\u00f3n linfoc\u00edtica, objetivada por una menor actividad mieloperoxidasa, una menor producci\u00f3n de radicales libres, una disminuci\u00f3n de las citocinas proinflamatorias y un aumento de la antiinflamatorias y una menor expresi\u00f3n de mol\u00e9culas de adhesi\u00f3n celular que llevar\u00e1 a
