A la vez, muchos virus con capaces de contraatacar produciendo prote\u00ednas que interfieren con el mecanismo de silenciamiento g\u00e9nico. El balance entre la inducci\u00f3n de la defensa antiviral de la planta, basada en silenciamiento g\u00e9nico, y la supresi\u00f3n de esta defensa por parte de los virus, es probablemente uno de los factores que determinan el curso de una infecci\u00f3n viral.  en la presente tesis se han empleado plantas transg\u00e9nicas que expresan secuencias correspondientes a la prote\u00edna supresora de silenciamiento g\u00e9nico postranscripcional (ptgs) hc-pro del virus de la sharka o plum pox virus (ppv), con el fin de estudiar el proceso de silenciamiento g\u00e9nico inducido frente a este transg\u00e9n y el posible efecto de la prote\u00edna hc-pro, codificada por el propio transg\u00e9n, sobre el silenciamiento g\u00e9nico y la resistencia a virus. Con nuestro sistema hemos pretendido aportar informaci\u00f3n sobre el posible balance existente entre la inducci\u00f3n y supresi\u00f3n de silenciamiento g\u00e9nico por parte de los virus.  se transformaron plantas de nicotiana benthamiana con construcciones derivadas del gen hc-pro de ppv. Se emple\u00f3 una versi\u00f3n traducible (hct), dise\u00f1ada para producir prote\u00edna hc-pro, y otra versi\u00f3n no traducible (hcn). Se determinaron los niveles de expresi\u00f3n de prote\u00edna hc-pro en varias de las l\u00edneas hct obtenidas, as\u00ed como la capacidad de la prote\u00edna hc-pro expresada de suprimir silenciamiento g\u00e9nico.La prote\u00edna hc-pro expresada en varias l\u00edneas hct no manifest\u00f3 capacidad para interferir con el silenciamiento g\u00e9nico ensayado en varios sistemas.  se estudi\u00f3 la resistencia a ppv en las plantas transg\u00e9nicas hc-pro.
