En las plantas sobreexpresoras se encuentran inducidos genes participantes en la s\u00edntesis de poliaminas, en la respuesta al estr\u00e9s abi\u00f3tico y en la respuesta al estr\u00e9s bi\u00f3tico. asi mismo, las plantas transg\u00e9nicas presentan un mayor contenido en \u00e1cido absc\u00edsico. Por el contrario, estas plantas presentan una menor producci\u00f3n de etileno y de su precursor acc. Estos cambios van acompa\u00f1ados de una tolerancia por parte de las plantas sobreexpresoras de samdc1 al estr\u00e9s abi\u00f3tico causado por la salinidad, el d\u00e9ficit h\u00eddrico o el ozono. De forma similar, las plantas transg\u00e9nicas presentan una tolerancia al estr\u00e9s bi\u00f3tico causado por la infecci\u00f3n por bacterias y hongos. Un an\u00e1lisis en profundidad revela la implicaci\u00f3n de la espermina, una de las tres poliaminas m\u00e1s importantes, en los cambios observados. En la tesis se establece una relaci\u00f3n entre la poliamina espermina, los niveles de \u00e1cido absc\u00edsico y etileno y las respuestas al estr\u00e9s abi\u00f3tico y
